I would agree that saying it has no negative health efffects is an ignorant thing to say..luckily i didnt say that.Evidence suggests that cannabis has a negative effect on a very small number of people particuary in cases where there is a genetic history of schizophrenia,your point on domestic and road accidents would have to be backed up by data for me to take it seriously though,cannabis is used more in amsterdam…but it still dosent come close to the damage sugar causes.
I dont want sugar banned either, im a Millsian libertarian and would always leave it up to people to make thier own choice,my point is sugar causes far far far more harm than cannabis does so why is one substance legal and the other is not?

I always thought it was because other industries, such as alcohol and paper (I think), competing with hemp and cannabis industries wanted to come out on top so they would pull strings in whatever government there was at the time to get these substances banned.. despite the fact that weed is healthier and hemp is one of the most useful natural substances around

i think people are slightly misguided over cannabis, and although i support the legality of it and think its ridiculous its illegal, the fact it has been illegal has meant that the chemicals which get you high (mainly thc) have been bred into it more and more, and its stronger and stronger, and the medicinal chemicals ( i think bcd? I'm not sure) have been bred out. I'm not an old politician or anything, I'm a teenager, but theres no denying that marijuana DOES mess up your mind and memory now, and is less and less medicinal- if it was legal it must be said, then that would probably stop happening, at least quite so much!
Is there something wrong with me? I really like Alan on QI, I think he's really funny, but I just don't like him doing stand up. Maybe its just his delivery but it really does little to nothing for me
he right, there's a HUGE Economic Engine behind  Alcohol.  Glassware, furniture, construction, crowd control, vehicles, hospitals, doctors, nurses, bandages, anitbiotic ointments…where as the marijuana industry only promotes snack food consumption and comfy couch perching, but like he said there's also Ris la +, and other ''smokers'' needs, delivery groceries is a good one, ..the money will just have to shift from one set of commodities to another to maintain the status wealth.  less drinking more marijuana and society will evolve, again.  hopefully for the better this time.    Peace Be With You All
