Lul what? 600 for 7700k? And £ at that???

  8. Michael Gusevsky says:

Is there a z370 of such a caliber or so?

  9. Michael Gusevsky says:

Oh! A full water block wow! Does warranty cover it?

  10. Michael Gusevsky says:

    Wow! Paint! Is it wet!?

Awesome board but I feel like the type of person to spend this much money on a motherboard would probably be wanting the latest and greatest, and therefore is either looking into buying, has already bought, or would rather buy CoL instead, even if they have a golden KL.

Really the only place I personally see it used is for show pieces, where people make incredible looking custom computers and take them to places like Computex.

Either way, it's a tiny, tiny market for sure.

Its great mobo. Just no upgrade potentional for cpu. Buy it for 7700k and later throw out with cpu cus nothing else will be there for z270

  13. Paul says:

Must be insane to pay that amount of money for a motherboard!

  14. Bill's Channel says:

Wow, great review. Big fan of the board and monoblocks. But I am scared about height differences in the cpu after delidding causing contact issues with either the CPU or VRMs heatsinks. That seems to be something at least some people have hit and is never talked about in these reviews (understandable, you can't have a 10 hour review). Anyone know of any best practices to avoid this issue and the whole grinding down of the standoffs?

  15. Bill's Channel says:

It was nice to see the level of respect the respect the English have for me. I knew I was universally loved, but I had no idea that they used my name in conversation. I will have to add that to all the other signs of respect like the fact that standard digital clocks honor me at 11 minutes past 8 every day.

  16. Reinart1986 says:

    I see Leo, I press like. 🙂

  17. Ellypsis says:

    600??!! dafuq

    Great video leo:)

  19. Carlos De Bernard says:

got the same results on 3200xmp. temps are high. in fact temps are disturbing. I will make a delid soon before getting the Alphacool in again. i can say in idle temps are the same with my alphacool 240 and my crappy air cooler. and yes is true a new board is coming and my sources told me IS NOT COMPATIBLE

  20. Ziv Zulander says:

Love that red dye. Motherboard is pricey as noted, but I do like that ASUS throws in the kitchen sink for their highest end boards. Priced out of my budget, however. 🙁

  21. Veritas says:

    We need more Leo videos,

Reviewing the Maximus IX extremely overpriced motherboard.

Outrageous price nobody should be spending that on a mobo the industry is out of hand, i really think that if these types of boards are to be advertised, shown off or reviewed they should be brought up to scrutinization on the massive overprice and should not be condoned, in essence the good points should be addressed but at no point should it be considered that it's ok to spend this kind of money or that it's ok for asus to charge this kind of money, otherwise i would rather such an overpriced item not be given any attention or recognition what so ever.

  22. Cartoonman154 says:

    Leo sounds fed up.

  23. Jon A says:

Yep now Intel is going to release the real Coffee Lake MB Z390 next year an probably Canon Lake as the refresh

  24. john flint says:

nice vid and good comments ,i was beginning to think the z270 platform had been forgotten about reviewers dont bother with it anymore ,not bling enough ,anyway thanks for that

  25. Richard Dale says:

Don’t get all this coffee lake isn’t available. I’ve had a 8700K for weeks. Just go on Part Picker there’s nearly always a retailer with stock. I didn’t pay over the odds either. Just checked now and the 8700k is in stock at 4 of the main retailers in the UK. Not exactly unavailable. Investing in Z370 is a bit dubious with updates likely soon but why would anyone spend £500 on and out of date platform?

  26. Vandoeun Long says:

Awesome review. I purchased way back in March when it came out and it's still untouched because I am lazy.

  27. redslate32 says:

…'bout a year late there bud.

  28. Vandoeun Long says:

I've got a question about drivers on asus' website. If they have a version with the same name lets say lan drivers or realtek drivers, but with a newer version number on a different motherboard support page, but older version number on maximus ix extreme support page, would it be safe to use those instead? excuse my punctuation.
