Today we’re talking a little bit about marijuana. I think this topic is specifically relevant for under established artists who are making great music but struggling with the business side of their art. heavy marijuana use has been normalized in hip hop and rap and in the circles I find myself in, being high is the normal state of consciousness. While the plant has many benefits and holds great cultural significance within the music, I have found that it does not help me with running a music related business. Everyone has a different relationship with weed but you will not know in what way its holding you back or helping you unless you can A/B test against long periods of sobriety. Im very much a fan of marijuana, but im an even bigger fan of eating food and paying rent.
