Well… It is illegal in here ( Korea ) soo….haha..

  2. Lau La says:

The girl is getting in trouble. She is going to prison because it's her second time being caught. T.O.P is a first time offender so he gets a fine and probation and the time he's in the military extended (like what happened with PSY). The law is annoying but the law is the law. Normal citizens face the punishment, idols should do the same otherwise it intensifies the public's idea that idols get special treatment. If YG tried to interfere it would literally be another scandal on their hands. GD could get away with getting caught because the law was looser at that time (and obvs YG helping) but it is strict now. If GD was caught now he'd have to go to jail. That is the law. T.O.P knew that so he'll have to face the consequences.

Also I read that T.O.P had already been mentioned or somehow involved with a different case of someone being caught with weed but the police didn't have enough evidence on T.O.P to bring him in. The girl was caught first and during her interrogation T.O.P must have been brought up again and that's why he was finally brought to the police and tested. Kind of seems like T.O.P was already on their radar and he was going to get caught at some point.

About the girl, she is from a wealthy celebrity family which seems to have allowed her to get into many companies like SM and she was actually going to debut in some popular girl bands like GFriend, Gugudan and Pristin. Her career is probably over, these types of scandals aren't ones you can rebuild your image from, and also online she seems a bit problematic which people also dislike. But why T.O.P brought a trainee to his house is a mystery and that was wrong for him to do, I can't find the girl to be at fault on that part.

For T.O.P he might lose a few fans but BigBang has had scandals before and fans stayed so it's probably going to be the same thing.

  3. 림/待ち 인나 /美奈子 says:

All I know is I still stab and love BigBang and T.O.P

  4. Mat Sab says:

    thank you.

  5. Titi Ma says:

Vips will always support T.O.P whatever the punishment is , we know he has to assume the consequences of his act but still we have to support him guys , we all know he was so depressed and worried and depression can make us commit suicide not only use drugs , so please vips ( of course real vips) we have to support T.O.P and all bigbang members bcs we are their everything <3

  6. blue the devil girl says:

this situation not effect to me at all… BIGBANGs songs and their performances more important than their personal lives. still waiting for GD and Taeyang comeback…

  7. RoséBaeSlays says:

although he knowingly broke the law, the fact that cigarettes and alcohol are so prevalant and embedded in the culture makes weed being illegal even more silly.

that doesnt mean they should legalise it, but if it contributed to the economy like the other two do, id assume it would be.

  8. daylite34 says:

Yes weed is illegal in Korea, but so is pirating a movie or song and drinking underage and we all do stuff like that, so I still think people going on about how it's a huge deal and he deserves everything coming to him are ridic to me.

  9. Jewels says:

I just wish SK wasn't SO against marijuana. Yes, it's illegal in most states here in the US although the tide is turning in recent years but the US (& many countries around the world) don't punish marijuana use to the same degree as, say, heroin or meth. Also…a person can get a dirty drug test like at a job and have no legal problems. But in South Korea, just testing positive even tho it was 8 months ago and he had NO drugs in his possession means he'll have potential jail time! It's insane to me but it's the law. I hope he can recover from all this and move on quickly.

  10. Suhaili Suhadi says:

as a fan of bigbang I honestly feel a little bit disappointed with this scandal. I was nervous when I knew this. I feel bad for G-Dragon as well as his comeback is approaching and this scandal just blew out of proportion few days before. GD will definitely get affected. First, he went through this shit before so people would try to mock gd as well and second, he might be a little bit down for his new comeback. Yes, TOP is a grown ass man, but shit happened. We all love him but he should get through this.

  11. Suhaili Suhadi says:

You should watch this Last Dance performance in Japan after the TOP's scandal came out. See each of them looks so down and ugh GD looks so hurt from beginning till the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4Fil3xNJl0

  12. Pamela Palomino says:

T.O.P and BigBang are so talented. I would never leave them. as long as he takes responsibility. I am OK with it. I want him to release more solos stuff or GD & TOP volume too. if Korea does not want them. I would like them to come to America and try it here. Their talent cannot be wasted. They are the only kpop group I am a fan of. Please support G-Dragon's album that is coming out on June 8th

  13. aiken relkins says:

He broke the law, point blank period. He's not above the law and he sure as hell isn't stupid. He knew what he did was wrong and even tried to act like he wasn't involved. You do something wrong, you pay the consequences.

  14. aiken relkins says:

Honestly rolling my eyes as I continue to scroll through the comments. As a VIP who owns most of their discography and someone who attended their MADE tour in Newark I also can remove my emotions and personal bias from a situation to think clearly. Regardless if you think weed should be illegal or not: it is. And, also, as someone whose mom is in the military and lived in Korea for 4 years (and whose mom also had to defend a military dependant who got caught selling weed and speed to Korean locals) weed is seen as serious shit. TOP knew what he was doing and knew he was doing something extremely illegal and even thought he could get away with it. I don't think he's the worst person in the world but I see so many fans just trashing the girl and going "awww I hope oppa pulls through" to TOP and honestly it's astonishing. This is lowkey why I can't mesh with guy group fans half the time. Anyway I've commented enough in this thread. Peace out.

  15. Bianca Laabrug says:

He's already paying the price! As a fan, I will always stand by him.

  16. Bianca Laabrug says:

And guys, he did NOT smoke while he was in the military! He smoked last year!!!

  17. KD9899 says:

i understand you're a fan but nah if u're korean or know korean culture and law or just read knetz' comments, even if you say its just a marijuana hell nah its still illegal in korea we gotta respect that law. top's punshinment aint even on that level with ordinary ppl who broke the law by smoking weed lol but bcs he's popular and from yg, he's getting off this. what i'm saying is, fans shouldn't cover this wrong doing. he chose to do this even if he knows it's illegal, he should pay for the consequences. and for the girl i dont think theres wrong i mean thats for all the delusional fangirls who believe their oppas are innocent and shes absolutely gonna suffer from this shes going to jail while top wont bcs of the double standards and yg power lmao so why are yall on top's side

  18. Kels López says:

The thing with the new people getting on the kpop nowadays is that they speak like they know everything and that SK is the same as their country.

Also, why everyone is OK with TOP smoking but not with the trainee, because she is a tranee? Bullshit.
He is a grown ass man? Yes, so he could know that smoking that is not right in South Korea. He was doing bad and now he has to pay.

TOP is getting what he deserves. End of the topic.

  19. onhyunnie kwon says:

I love him but he should have known better. He knows he'll be enlisting and will be tested…why tf would he risk it. I still don't understand. Man, i just don't want him to be in prison

  20. Viona Halim says:

rumors and bad news aside, are you coming to GD'S concert?

  21. frisk the human says:

don't worry, five years letter BIGBANG will comeback with " STILL ALIVE pt 2"….

  22. J. W. says:

I didn't go back and re-read the news stories, but wasn't this whole thing referencing an event that took place last October?? Was the hair sample they tested from back then, or was it just now? It's crazy…..they could have walked into SM or YG and run a check on any number of artists, and probably one-third of them would test positive for SOMETHING illegal ( of course I'm not being serious, just making a point). I think these idols become complacent after years of parties where illegal substances were being openly used, kind of thinking they are untouchable, and forget that all it takes is one little slip and they're in the soup!

It seems ironic that in a country where public drunkenness is fine & dandy, and drunk people are frequently seen stumbling down the street and vomiting into the gutter (and, I have heard, right onto the sidewalk!), that someone smoking weed in the privacy of their own home, causing no disturbance to anyone, is arrested and taken to court with who-knows-what kind of consequences! Well, Darnell did mention the fine, which I think I read was about $74,000 in US money (a drop in the bucket for TOP). Was there a prison sentence too, or house arrest or anything? Could this incident really be a career-ended for him? I find that hard to believe.

I know, I know…..MJ is against the law and that makes the point moot. But really, it's nothing compared to alcohol, which is obviously known to have disastrous potential to affect people's jobs, families, and lives. Again, I know it's not really "nothing," just making a generalization. I really feel that in the future, maybe 10-20 years from now, marijuana will be legalized and all the fuss about it will die down. Medical marijuana is already legal in what, something like 24 states?

But I still don't get it……TOP is still allowed to complete his two years in the military after being caught with an illegal substance and charged with what- possession? use? distribution? You'd think that would exclude him from anything to do with the military! And did that girl say why she reported him, thus incriminating herself as well? Was she hoping to blackmail TOP or something? This whole thing smells rotten to me!

  23. meyy lim says:

i think the same way with you:) thankyou for saying to always support Bigbang and T.O.P but in korea its illegal so as a VIP for me thats okay he will take a responsibility for what he did as a gentleman☺️

  24. Moon Wise says:

React to Ninety One https://youtu.be/iGcwymd9E4s should like.

  25. irene adler says:

Should top have smoked weed in Korea ? No especially knowing that its illegal
Will i stop supporting him and bigbang ? No (as long as they make good music )

  26. cb bc says:

All VIPs I know are disappointed but staying. So are all his major Korean fansites. I am sticking around too. BB can't get rid of me that easily

  27. Lizzy Anderson says:

Well I am kind of freaking out now considering TOP was found unconscious, and is now in intensive care and had not woken up yet. Literally crying so hard I'm worried as fuck fam! 🙁 This shit has gone too far!

  28. RhiAnime says:

TOP is now in hospital. Apparently, YG confirmed that he was found unconscious and rushed to the hospital. He was moved from ER to ICU and hasn't woken up yet. We all need to put aside the fact that he made a mistake and pray for his health.

  29. Namjoon is the dad of bts says:

BRO HE WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL, WTF

  30. M. Michèle Thomas says:

TOP was found unconscious in Korea on the morning of June 6. He was rushed to hospital and has yet to wake up. Test results are not back/ released yet but it appears to be a drug overdose. Knowing Asian culture's feelings about dishonor it is a high possibility (but not fact- not enough is known yet) that the OD was intentional. PLEASE STOP THE HATE. It's not like he was getting off easy- in fact it was the opposite because his incredibly high profile made him easy to use to set an example. Whether he intentionally OD'd or was simply trying to make the pain go away this is the result of the court of public opinion. I don't care if you are VIP or not. Please, PLEASE, pray that he wakes up.

  31. aiken relkins says:

UPDATE: If any of you are still viewing this comment section TOP has overdosed on pills and was found unconscious and is currently being hospitalized. There are conflicting reports on whether or not he has waken up yet. Regardless of your stance on the issue this is a very serious situation and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

  32. sna99le tooth says:

Okay so I have said this on another video but here goes.
Listen, people. VIPs are not justifying his actions. We are staying by his side because we care for him and we love him, he will still be our big Seunghyun no matter what. Other people, haters, that are trying to be sarcastic by saying "oppa didn't do it", oh please, we DRAGGED him for his foolish actions first, and for choosing a wrong friend who reported him. VIPs. Dragged. Him. First. We. Scold. Him. First. So haters, too late, not fast enough. He is a very sensitive person and I wonder what he was dealing with, the stress must be unbearable. I just wish it was not Korea so it was legal for him to do weeds. But he regretted it, so people who act like Seunghyun was massive killing a whole race, please do yourself a favour and take care of your own self. Have a nice day.

  33. KO Nineteen says:

If T.O.P is hounded to death over this nonsense it will be a black mark on the soul of South Korea. Such a great deal of trouble over something non-violent or perverse. I could understand the uproar if he'd beaten a woman or had flashed his junk on a playground. But all this time & energy spent over his smoking of a marijuana cigarette is, in my opinion, ridiculous. The police & legal machine that spends more time harassing its citizens for marijuana should try protecting women from domestic violence & arresting sexual deviants. T.O.P has done nothing he needs to apologize for. Throughout history, many creative people—painters, actors, writers, musicians, etc., have used mood altering substances. I wish we lived in a more progressive world with more important priorities than this❗️VIP❤️

  34. J says:

pills are the devil & have ruined parts of my life personally. Weed has never broken families or killed anyone I wish the world would just see it as another medicine that helps people with chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and seizures

  35. KristaStarburd says:

Everyone's like "he broke the law, so we should have no sympathy or a reasonable perspective on what the actual situation is". ya, we know he broke the law, but did he deserve to be completely lampooned and demonized in the media? – NO. On the scale of laws to break, talk about a minor one. It was a mistake. fyi, for some people, marijuana helps them with depression and anxiety among other things. Proceed with the legal consequences, but don't make it bigger or out to be worse than it really is.

  36. grn_ appls7 says:

The problem I have with this whole scandal is that TOP is only CHARGED with having smoked weed BUT HE HAS NOT BEEN TRIED, CONVICTED OR SENTENCED WITH ANYTHING YET. But people are already crucifying him like he is trying to get away with murder. He hasn't done ANYTHING yet! All the comments I read from K-netz are all about how he's rich and rich people always get away with things and talking about political corruption like Top is responsible for all that. I think the Korean media, the public and the police have convicted and sentenced him already like he's a murderer! Again, the only thing he has done is apologize, he didn't say hey let me off I'm rich, he hasn't gotten away with anything, nothing. Nothing has happened. But since he is a celebrity, he is going to get the worst type of punishment – both from his trial, whenever that may be, and the public. That's called bias and injustice. If people really want equality and fairness under the law, then they should let him be tried fairly. I can't imagine he is the only person in Korean, let alone celebrity, who has smoked weed (back like 9 months ago – that's what we're talking about, him having smoked week 9 months ago in October). Given all this crazy witch hunt, I'd like to see how people would react if ordinary citizens were caught on camera smoking weed. Would the public scream for blood as much as they are doing against TOP? Justice should be just and fairness should be fair. It doesn't matter if he is a celebrity, unless the law says celebrities should get even worse punishment than the average person, the punishment for smoking weed in your own personal homes 9 months ago should be the same for everyone.

  37. Nana Mana says:

The trainee and also a friend???? snitched on him because they were being investigated
