a friend of mine just tried weed for the first time. Her and her boyfriend (who got her into it) went from like once a week to 3-4 times daily. They found the good stuff I guess
I tried ecstasy when I was younger but found that it did nothing at all for me. The effects everyone seemed to experience from the ecstasy I felt from smoking weed

It's a flawed study, pot smokers have lower inhibitions and have more time to have sex. Just as unemployed alcoholics do.

This could very well just be a correlation due to inhibition. Those who are uninhibited are both more likely to have sex and smoke weed, the less inhibited are also more likely to report having more sex and smoking weed. I don't think this is any indication it might help sex drive, especially if all data in relation to specific aspects of sexual health and function indicate the opposite.
I suspect an indirect factor here: maybe a small amount of weed (much like a small amount of alcohol) can relax someone enough to remove inhibition, but not so much that sexual function is impaired. They should study the quantities consumed! If it turns out to be down to the relaxation factor, you could equally well argue that a session of meditation will have the same effect 🙂
Anything that alters a personas "normal" state of mind like beer will encourage people to have sex. However, I do feel sorry for you ladies that get that "cotton mouth" thing.

I think it has more to do with the frequency of being in social situations and how those situations are handled. Most sexual encounters are dictated by opportunity, not by desire (at least for men), unless we're talking about long-term relationships.

From my personal experience It was up and down. There were times I could go for an hour + and go again after. And times where I'd struggle to keep it up! All in all! Stopping has done me more good since I dont get the anxiety and paranoia along with chest pains.
