  1. Aaron Marceaux says:

Just another way to keep guns away from people. But I mean really weed=violence? Right cause stoners are sooooo mean?! But now go get drunk and how many fights come from that??? Yea ya know "bar fight" even a word for it. Stoner fight? No um hippie fight? No um couch fight?? No again hmmm just don't make sense huh.

  2. Kenneth Taylor says:

Government can't regulate me. My gun is to stop them from doing so. Ill smoke my Cannabis and carry my gun. What I do in my home is none of the government business. Plus just don't get a medical card. The people I know smoke and carry firearms. They are the most law a bidding as one can get. Bearing arms is a human right recognized by government, not given to us by government. Therefore government can not take it away from you.

  3. John Garand says:

Just because you have a medical marijuana card doesn't mean you're more apt to be involved in criminal activity. In fact if you have a medical card you're less likely because you're not going to "some guy". People should be able to treat their pain/illness without pharmaceutical drugs, and yes those are the REAL drugs.

  4. David Beane says:

just another step down the path of disarming the citizens. give them an ultimatum and it makes it seem like they are choosing to not own guns.

  5. Bill Edwards says:

So, the legalization of marijuana is an underground means of gun control?

  6. TIMOTHY P HANNAGAN says:

    COMMON SENSE PEOPLE !
DO NOT GIVE ANY UNDUE INFORMATION TO THE GOV !
    NAME , ADDRESS , ECT
BASIC INFORMATION THAT IS IT !
IT IS NONE OF ANY ONES BUSINESS WHAT YOU DO , WHERE YOU GO , WHAT YOU DRINK OR SMOKE !
KEEP IT LOW KEY AND USE SOME COMMON SENSE !

  7. InTheFleshInc says:

I would say why does it matter, you can drink till your shit faced and own guns and alcohol is way more dangerous & deadly.

  8. Rogan Harrow says:

what if your medical marijuana card expires, can you buy a firearm after the fact ?? when my card expires in a couple months I'd like to save up to get a 911

  9. Kelley Two Feathers says:

felons carring fire arms?.just look at all the cops out there. I smoke weed, and will not give up my guns, and will shoot anyone who tries to take them. fuck cops and the law. the second amendment trumps that.

  10. what how says:

Hands off my guns but mmmmm I'm going to watch you pee. Wasn't drug prohibition and gun control invented by racist Democrats. Good job Republicans good job. Freedom for me and not for thee.

  11. DT Undercover says:

ironically alcoholics can own firearms… you know… the ones who actually are a risk…

  12. bowlofarthritus says:

As an alcoholic, I still can buy guns, which I have. I just still know better to leave one alone when using another, which means I guess I'm a functional abuser. I think personally if you are a user of the two (which imo it's best not to in either case), don't try handling a weapon, unloaded or not, If you're inebriated. You're by law barred from using a vehical or other forms of heavy machinery if impaired, so this shouldn't be any different

  13. Lee Man says:

There are two aspects to this law that needs to be considered. What was addressed here was the transfer from a dealer to individual. As with many laws there are differences between what is legal to buy and what is legal to own. Example is that you have to be 21+ to buy a handgun from a dealer but can legally own in most states at the age of 18. So if you live in a state that does not prohibit private sales then you could buy a firearm in your home state provided you did not violate state law in doing so.

There is also a whole other side of the issue which involves State's rights and the laws of the residents of that state vs Federal which is too involved to go into detail. But an example is if California wanted to make a law stating that pot smokers could own firearms, in theory they could. But of course then you have the pile of CA laws against gun ownership so I guess you shouldn't hold your breath on that one.

  14. Neil Beaudry says:

Do you feel that keeping marijuana illegal federally is an effective strategy in keeping the liberals and the democrats from owning firearms.

  15. charles jenkins says:

    Subscribed!!! NRA Member 4 Life!

  16. Ken ibn Anak says:

The law is what it is. No doubt in each state where marijuana cards are issued the police are comparing who got the cards with lists of who owns firearms and confiscation is therefore imminent. IMO getting a good high is not worth losing a gun collection.

  17. brianbirc says:

Fact is I know a few that smoke marijuana legally by state laws. The marijuana does not make them more confrontational, violent, get angry, or any lack of control of body function. Alcohol does this in one or all with more than very little. Marijuana does the opposite to those when they use it. They are more like what is worried about when sober. They are not bad criminal kind sober they are normal but get angry for reasons we all do. However a lot more mellow less showing of anger with the same disapproving of the issue. I am sure that violent more likely to do something bad would be far less likely to do so under the effect of marijuana. Alcohol I think with the around moderate amount prior to very drunk but not limited to it are far more likely to be bad some much more than others and some not with lethal tools but inappropriate or fist fighting they would not do normally and may not be good at it and would not sober if antagonised.
If a person that does use marijuana becomes angry thinking violent smokes or ? uses marijuana and calms from doing something violent it is a good thing. They may also decide a non violent way that has a beneficial outcome that violence would most likely not.
Not a fit thing for a soldier at times but good between in a safe place possibly. I am not trying to promote it unless you have some real reason to calm or medical reason. It should not have anything to do with gun ownership thinking it would be dangerous. Hippy culture of nonviolence is famous for heavy marijuana use. Not sure why it is illegal with other things that are addictive and some addictive and create violent behaviour.

  18. baja joes says:

NOTE:    Does this apply to ANTIQUE FIREARMS?

  19. John H says:

A stoner with a gun is about the last gun related issue we should worry about. Laws don't make sense. I've never heard of a person high on grass shooting other people.

  20. Kuttin Kuddy says:

the US government is a joke. they fuel wars to sell drugs and weapons (Iran, cocaine, Afganistan, opium, Mexico, guns and drugs) so that means the Public can't do what they do… hypocrisy to the fullest.

  21. poopz says:

although the end of your video says what it says, people have been smoking illegally and owning guns legally for years

  22. poopz says:

i felt very discriminated against.. we should all start a movement.
although i do make bad choices when im really really really stroned.. i eat all the chips and ice cream in the house at 3am

  23. lee says:

and i bet willie has firearms the laws are ridiculous in this respect

  24. Daniel Moulder says:

I had already learned this info, previously, but I know it helps y'all out w/ youtube if we like, share AND comment. Good info, even if irrelevant to me, personally. Thanks!

  25. oldgysgt says:

One other thing; the new Federal form 4473, (with the new definition of "illegal" use of marijuana), was revised October 2016, under the Obama administration.

  26. Porkchop's Papi says:

sure you can. but don't get caught high & carrying.

  27. Allen Gilder says:

when I recently purchased a weapon in az. first ? they asked was if was legal weed smoker fact

  28. Allen Gilder says:

as long as it is done in private at not in public or in front children my only med records which can't be released without my approval

  29. DrokkBr000 says:

this may be stupid but does it make a lick of difference that the weed is recreational? for example places like Colorado or Washington?

  30. Anthony Romano says:

    This country is a joke.

  31. Chris Lucas says:

Guns, and free speech, some of our few remaining actual freedoms. We're fucking dinosaurs when it comes to many other issues, especially drugs. It's all drug companies, and the private prison industry and their lobbying dollars. And fuck Jeff Sessions and his bought ass.
