I know you're glad to get your raw papers again. Did you ever find where you could get them in bulk? Seems like a head shop would or could hook that up or some online wholesaler. Those look like tiger shrimp size(big) or am I wrong? Are those farm raised or wild caught shrimp? I'm big into using olive oil, haven't cooked with coconut oil and back in the day my mom used vegetable oil most times. I marinate most things(the entrees or main dish almost always) I cook and don't fry anything(well fried pickles are an exception as a side-heck it was the Derby-lol). I prefer baking. Leery of using a deep fryer with hot oil. Have a wok as a gift but never used it. I like Chinese food but no longer trust or want to give money to Chinese food places given my latest experience with a delivery worker. When I visit my folks,  shrimp fried rice is my mom's fave Chinese food. I want to make my own Chinese food but sweet and sour chicken would be hard to do baked.

I don't go out to eat either, fast food as last resort rarely. For reasons I think we both share. Like the sanitation or hygiene of the workers at fast food and restaurants. Maybe that's just me. I'm darn near ocd on washing hands mine and observing others who handle my families food and on food prep hygiene. A lot of it is cultural but I'll leave it at. You're truly blessed to have access to that amount of herb and for many uses. Pyrex does rule! I have 2 pyrex glass casserole pieces.

Cooking can be relaxing but for me it depends on how good the cook is before I call it art. You know there are a lot of bad cooks and their cooking sure ain't art-lol. There are indeed cultures that cook animals on the brink of extinction or endangered. In many Asian countries they hunt and kill whale/dolphin meat and eat shark fin soup. Plus there is turtle soup and the big seas turtles are at least endangered. 60-75 bucks for a maine or Alaskan 15 oz or so lobster tail-ridiculous. Never had either of the two. Presentation is huge for me too. I don't eat them but you don't want that chitterlin' smell in the house. I have memories of my folk cooking them and they stank up the whole crib. Ugh! Darn near every part of the pig/swine is part of "soul/slave" food cuisine like ham, souse, pig tails, pig feet, bacon, pork shoulder etc.

I'm still leery of food trucks, had some good bbq from one, although I'm pretty sure the health standards are better these days in general. But don't know if it goes state by state on standards just like those f……s in the FDA have no federal/national standard for GMO labeling. Everybody and males especially should learn to cook. You can't always depend on someone else to cook for you or just eat microwave and fast foods. The show is Bong Appetite on Vice. Catfish is a controversial fish, no doubt. I might have asked before but have you had cabbage sprouts? Shrimp is done when it gets that right dark pinkisk/light orange color and no longer translucent. I can't do it but I like watching herb infused cooking. Brussell sprouts get a bad name overall, but I've cooked and marinated them and carmalized them and they were fine. Problem is nobody else in my family likes them. Fun video! Peace.
