money, money, money. who cares about the side effects these synthetic pills will no doubt cause, as long as those companies make their money, right?. it's the exact same as the opioid crisis. the government doesn't give two shits that's tens of thousands of people are dying. just throw more pills at them, and make that money!. if the government allocated half as much funding into psychotherapy as they do big pharma , I guarantee addiction and accidental overdoses would decrease. As a society we are trained to treat the symptoms but not the root of the problem. And even if you want to treat the root of your problem, ie: psychotherapy, well hope you have lots of cash. the government has made proper therapy so costly and unattainable to the average person. yet prescription pills are hugely attainable. and even promoted by your so called trusted medical professionals. these medical professionals are taught that all they have to offer are these medications companies are making billions off of. these companies are making profits from dispair, disease, and death. we deserve better!
