Weed doesn't really go bad, as far as I know… But! THC will convert to CBN over time if not properly stored.

Everything depends on how you store it. vacuum seal it in a jar and put it in 50 degrees and it will last just fine and in fact its best after a year, super smooth and strong! If the taste is stale then outside moisture definitely got to it.

Just use your old for edibles. Part of the reason they mess you up so bad is from the high cbn % in well made edibles.

Okay, I’ve got a story about smoking 6 year old weed.
Preface:
-I live in Tennessee, which is an illegal state.
-I’ve been smoking since I was 19, so about 11 years, but didn’t start smoking on the regular until about 2015 (money, no hook-ups, etc)
-The first time I smoked this weed in 2010, I didn’t know what “loud” was, or how it made you feel.
Anyway, I got this huge nug for my 23rd birthday in 2010, from my friend who’s brother sold. I took like 5 bong rips, because in my past experiences, bongs never got me higher than any other form of smoking, so I just thought I would be like always. Well it fucking wasn’t. I had an out of body experience and I was so high that I thought I wasn’t real anymore. I didn’t smoke another puff of it because it scared the shit out of me and I thought there was something wrong with it. I put it in my stash box in a little baggy, and never saw it again. Until last year, when my parents brought me some stuff that I had left at home from when I moved out in ‘11. I’m going through it and low and behold, there’s my stash box, with a giant chunk of bud in it. I was fucking stoked. I thought it was absolutely hilarious, but of course I was going to smoke it, because I couldn’t find any at the time. I got high as fuck from that 6 year old weed. My tolerance had of course built up over the years, and it tasted really interesting, but it was still some really good shit.
