actually, the reason why addicts are using a huge amount of Imodium ad is when they withdrawl they shit themselves, you get uncontrollable shits, so you drink a lot of anti shits medicine…..

This method is used with other chemicals found in foods, otc meds & juices that IS the best way to treat withdrawals (short of having cannabis), and has been used for decades to get addicts off heroin & oxy. I used this several times to get off oxy, morphine, etc after being on painkillers 15 yrs for my chronic/terminal illnesses. I've been thru withdrawals 100s of times & my body can no longer handle it. Also, the theraputic dose for withdrawals is under 100mg of immodium. If kids are using this to get high, it's the same kids who will huff air cans or paint thinner if they can't take pills…

Wow never heard of this. I did know that some anti diarrhea meds contain opiates, but I would not go there myself. I agree with Bernice Panders comment. Im coming off of seven years of methadone maintenance and couldn't imagine how this would help. However, like you said I'm not judging.
I have a friend… He experimented with this about ten years ago after reading some info on erowid. It worked best when combined with omeprazole. Apparently loperamide is an analog to most opioid, cept it's been hacked to prevent it from passing the bbb. Omeprazole was suggested as a Trojan horse.
I took Imodium during this flu season like an idiot because I couldn't shake my diarrhea. HORRIBLE mistake. Constipated for 8 days after
Imodium is an opioid. It's actually closer to fentanyl. The arrange the molecules to where just the anti diarrhea part of it works. You cannot, let me repeat myself, YOU CANNOT CANNOT GET HIGH from it. It doesn't relieve withdraw symptoms either. It's a placebo effect. You will still withdraw. Best thing to do is seek professional help and if you can't afford it there's this other herb called kratom that covers you opioid receptors and helps the withdraw symptoms. The fda is trying to ban it. Why? Because it works. It works well. There are numerous groups on Facebook that will help guide you on your journey to an opiate free life. I've beat it so can others. You have to want to quit.

I actually have a really good best friend who actually does use anti-diarrhea meds to get high, takes about 40-50 a day, tried gettin him to get some help but he doesn't think he needs it. don't know what to do about it personally since i don't want to violate his trust but i have known him for years now and it would suck to lose him over something so stupid. ill have to show him this video maybe it will help thanks
