There is a plant near my parents house called Christmas berry or wolfberry (Lycium carolinianum); is this what you have here? They grow in an estuary, covered in usnea. They taste like tomatoes, but sweeter and a little salty (probably bc of where they grow).
I'm guessing that making a tincture "compresses/condenses" the goodness. What then is the dosage of the tincture? surely not a quarter cup!
