I'm not buying into that emerson effect. Plenty of hps bulbs go to 750nm all day long. And then taper off fast.

I had no idea the cannabis community is so easily susceptible to this type of marketing. I’ve watched this guy brag about how his stupid costumes create marketing hype. The audience of this show is constantly holding their hand out for free equipment. Yet that same audience is wasting extravagant money on seeds. These guys (Brett&Scott) can’t even get $10 a month and they actually work hard. I’m all for capitalism, but what’s going on here is elitism. It’s that typical California attitude. This new industry is already tainted with massive hypocrisy and greed. We should welcome big pharma and big tobacco in with open arms. They will fit right in. You will all see the biggest fire sale when this happens. That’s right all the “heroes” will quickly start selling to big companies and cashing out. I guess I’m a little disappointed we let our hobby become a place for scammers and manipulative people. It was supposed to be about medicine and access. I guess we have been hiding behind sick kids.

I am in the second run in my buildasoil coots mix soil, and I keep that top layer moist. The fungus gnats were overwhelming at first, but after a couple months of sticky traps and predator mites, now the gnats are only around in small(I rarely see them) numbers and seem to keep my predators fed.

Hard for me to agree with seed prices. I get around one to two thousands seeds per plant. So if they were 1$ per seed I still would get 1k too 2k per plant. Now it is around 700 too 1200 a pound for good buds. With a plant seeded I just dry it out and roll the buds for the seeds to fall out very little trimming needed at all. With buds have to trim fully then dry then cure. No need to say much more just look at dollar for dollar seeds are way way over priced even at 5$ per seed. This is not the days or going to jail for 5 years for having seeds or cannabis on you anymore for us legal states which was the main reason seeds held a high price back in the day. Things need to change for seed prices. Itis the biggest rip off in the cannabis world and I won't even get into the fake breeders re naming a good strain they got and acking like the made something new.

When I learned about using Aloe for rooting a long time ago, i never got to test, but does anyone know if people got successful results with just putting the cuttings into a small sliver of aloe, and just planting it straight in the medium?
