Can't be in public view. And poeple will harm you over weed.

The enemy for new growers is friends that are other growers and consumers of the product.

I call this the "Chicken Breeder Effect". Chicken Breeders are known for misinformation, especially to people new into the pastime. Basically the old breeder fears, if they give good advice, that the newbie might beat them in a show next year.

Cannabis growers are similar, and tend to show a passive resistance to helping newbies. They give vague answers to newbie questions.
"You'll get better after your first grow" is often the old growers "advice".
"It depends" is another classic answer.

Friends that consume the product can be just as bad, as they advise on quality etc. Often they can just be manipulating for a cheap price.

This is my first time and I am learning along the way and thanks to people like Les Blazer, Cali grow and others here on you tubers that have excellent knowledge for references that I feel comfortable!
My four plants are about 2' tall and bushy!

I threw away a small cannabis plant in the burn pile outside in late may. Found it 2 months later growing out the side of the burn pile and it was the biggest and healthiest plant I had. It came out to be 10 oz dry after harvest. Needless to say…all my plants are going in the ground and not a container next Spring. Also, I learned that my outside grow was better protected than inside my house. Inside my house I battled spider mites, but outside I had natural predators like spiders, a praying mantis, and ladybugs and I never used insecticide.

  7. Nescafe Shorts says:

Also, I noticed all the 10-14 foot plants outside here on youtube aren't trimming their leaves hardly at all. I think I'll go with Jorge Cervantes advice on leave the leaves alone and let photosynthesis do it's job.

  8. Nescafe Shorts says:

I also found the 12/12 to be a myth. My outside plants went into flower with exactly 14.25 hours of daylight; not 12 or less. Also, I think how strict some people are about the dark is kind of silly since the moon is out most nights in a natural grow setting.

another great video I have been a legal MMJ grower for a few years and I'm still learning. this is a fun hobby. no one except my S.O knows about my grow. I keep it indoors using a large closet for flowering and a tent for vegging.I do not worry about L.E because I follow state law but if my activities became public someone may be tempted to break into my house and steal my "medicine". there is still a lot we don't know about plant physiology so growing is as much an art as a science and it takes time study and practice to learn to grow well. my state lets us grow for personal use but we can not sell what we grow. and I grew for 2 years before I was able to produce enough to meet my needs and those of my S.O. who lives with cancer. but good homegrown is better than anything you find on the streets or at the dispensary so it is worth the effort to learn how to grow.

  16. Grégory Hertel says:

If you're a already experienced gardener in general, growing weed isn't that hard, the needs of all plants are pretty much the same. A friend of mine had a pack of 3 White Haze Automatic seeds laying around his place after a party, no one ever came back for them, and handed them over to me for my first ever try. They grew outdoors like a charm, yield was about 70 grams per plant. The smell part was tricky though as my neighbour is a cop, i'm glad them east winds blow over the valley most of the time in the evening when he comes home lol

  17. NordeggSonya says:

What I have learned….follow the instructions of people who have gone before you. Don't try to re-invent the wheel. Keep notes!!!! Look at your plants every day! He who has the best records has the best results, consistently!!

all this talk about the work of trimming and growing and here i am wishing i could do it for a living LMAO

  21. soluna668 says:

Well said. Free weed indeed. Not if you want quality. You have a large investment of time, effort, and money for equipment, nutrients, trimmers, drying racks, meters and monitors. Then, if you got a large quantity, there's so much to know about the details that make a harvest smell right, and then store it, after curing…. My friends and I always thought just grow it mannnnn, then puff that bud. Well, with live rosin techniques, you can, but otherwise, were talking about 4 months minimum, and more like 6 if it's from seed. And so if you're not growing enough to last you 6mos+, you shouldn't try to sell any, cause you're gonna end up having to supplement your own supply. And that's more dough out the window.

  22. Ratinglulz Gaming says:

the funny part about this is weed in general can be easy to grow so most of it is wrong because only hard part is waiting

  23. Skunkmaster B says:

  32. Eivin Hansen says:

Want to add one thing. A new setup don't have to cost more than 500 Euros. That includes a tent, carbon filter, exhaust fan, circulation fan, 200W dual spectrum light, soil, equipment and seeds. And one more thing to think about even for those of you who live in a country/state where Cannabis is legal. You're always running the risk of someone robbing you. If you talk to much, and someone in line at Starbucks overhears your conversation. And those people have no issue with bad Karma. They might follow you home, write down you address and rob you while you sleep or something like that.

  33. jack straw says:

any body can grow weed..but not at body can grow weed well

  34. Cosmic Charlie says:

When you grow you're a slave to the house ..I've done hydroponic runs where I didn't leave for months ..it's a huge commitment ..

  35. David Suchite says:

Guy told me it's all profit..lol

  36. Cornelius Palahniuk says:

Don't underestimate either! When you plant outdoor and think you'll only get 4-8 Oz and you get 36. Bowl trimmers look better than a month of hand trimming+ drying and long term storage vacuum sealing vs mason jars
