Michael displayed such incredible ignorance on this subject, for a journalist, it was appalling. I do not even use the stuff, but it has incredible medical benefits. I heard one doctor in the US comment that if it ws legalized, then about 50% of the pharma drugs could be flushed down the toilet. As I get older, I realize this who issue has been nothing more than one big government scam.
I agree — the politicians are the ones is this case who should be thrown in jail. There is just no way that a government should be able to tell me what I can put into my own body — far as I am concerned, that is sacred. God gave us these plants to use responsibly, and no government should be able to take that away — just evil as far as I am concerned. Mark Emery's blog brought me here. He criticized Mr Coren heavily. I disagree. He was open minded, and reasonable and fair, and open to new ideas. I'm not saying that I agreed with him. I didn't. But he wasn't a stubborn moron like so many others. I regret that Jody went into conspiracy theory mode at the end. She was doing great, until she made that mistake. Just keep this in mind – if you bring up a conspiracy theory in a debate, you automatically lose in the eye of the public.
