Joe "my dreams are all primal n shit" Rogan.

  2. Fernando Villa says:

Cannabis withdrawals are real they just aren’t as bad as harder drug withdrawals but they are there. Me personally I feel much more anxious when I’m not smoking and I’m just bored all the time. That can be considered a withdrawal. Some people can’t eat and sleep properly. It just depends on the person.

  3. Kevin says:

    Marijuana is addictive.

  4. Sworn Dungeons says:

When I was addicted to Percocets I used to dream about copping them and somehow id feel high in the dream. Same with H its like ur brain craves it in its sleep so much it mimics the effects

  5. Tyrone Shoelaces says:

I think weeds effect on your dreams varies from person to person. Especially when you smoked in relation to when you fall asleep

  6. Colin sushiboy says:

Maybe I need to smoke pot. I rarely get any dreams at all

  7. Folk Wang says:

If you contact me… I will explain what is happening with the lucid semi kaotic dreaming. Hands down. I have been around and I can answer that for you straight if you take time to contact me. Good convo

  9. Rob Carpineta says:

I have crazy vivid dreams when i stop smoking bud

  10. TheSilentCartographer says:

Maybe dreams are your attempt of subconsciously simulating reality. So possibly dreaming is your psyche attempting to explore possible negative outcomes while asleep to better prepare for the possibility of them happening. But with cannabis in your system, your survival mechanisms are slower leading to a reduction in strategic forecasting while asleep. Just my theory.

  11. Chace says:

The reason he is more tense and gets angry easily. The reason is just simply because he hasn't learned to deal with his thoughts feelings and everything else because of pot. If you smoke it long enough you will loose your ability to deal with life.

  15. ArthurC42 says:

I've smoked on and off for the last 7 years or so, and for the most part that is fine. But when I would have it for like two weeks straight, smoking several times a day, every day… there are definitely withdrawals. Sure, you can't compare it to most of that other shit (which I've never done myself, so no personal experience there), but none the less.
At first I have difficulties falling asleep for the next two or three nights. Also I start sweating so fucking much, it's ridiculous. I literally have sweat dripping out of every pore, and it really is quite embarrassing, and puts a lot of stress on you about having to partake in social events or even just going to work, because everyone can see you're drenched in sweat. The night sweats are terrible, too. For at least 4 or 5 nights after not smoking any, I will wake up several times a night, totally freezing and shivering my ass off, all the blankets and the mattress completely soaked through.
Then there is the irritability and random anxiety attacks over something as simple as leaving the house to go do some grocery shopping. Major mood swings. No fun at all.
The excessive sweating goes on for a few weeks, but eventually stops. I also start having amazingly epic dreams again, which I've missed a lot, since back before starting smoking I used to have so many unbelievably vivid and fascinating ones on a regular basis.
So right now, I'm trying to cut it off completely for a few months, and then maybe, if I still feel like I want it… I'll go to making edibles and having them maybe like once a week at most.

While I am definitely all for weed being legal and freely available to those who want it… I've had to come to terms with the fact that smoking it regularly really does limit me a lot as a productive person. I'm lazy. I don't have the energy to work out. I barely feel like spending the time on putting effort into preparing healthy meals and just in general eating enough. I avoid taking care of real life responsibilities, which are needed to keep on moving forward towards the stuff I want out of life. I definitely feel that it affects my focus and cognitive ability in general. I also suspect that lack of proper dreaming is not very healthy in the long term, as a lot of important stuff goes on in the brain through dreaming. It's like a detoxification process for your mind… to let go of unnecessary baggage.

Downplaying the effects of regular smoking is dangerous to yourself. Some day in 20 years you realize how much time you've wasted.. how much you've missed out on.. and there will be nothing to do about it at that point, other than wallow in regret.

  23. Julliette Burton says:

When you smoke weed you don't achieve REM sleep. That's why you don't dream.

i quit weed last year for 3 months and fuck the dreams they was horrible i had 1 funny 1 where i was getting chased by police and i had to give an Asian bloke my last joint for hes orange turban but when i got away i still got a joint, i have mad dreams when i quit weed

  34. Axenic Second says:

I have horrendous dreams during sober periods. And I fucking hate it.

  35. Jay Howard says:

when your stoned it suppresses your dreams so when you stop because they've been suppressed for so long they come back like crazy goes away in 2 weeks though. Read some study on it.

  36. Alex Ansary says:

One thing i notice with fellow smokers in the online activist domain is record low empathy for the victims of war. Most conspiracy theorists make the theory about themselves or their latest wild idea but little from the smoker about those being killed by millions. I have to cut back on smoking to journal about some of these social issues that i discuss on my youtube channel. Message me directly if anyone would care to talk about whats happening to society and the planet.

  37. Nyxx says:

My problem is before I started smoking I was eating so much and I was fat. I started smoking and I would try healthier foods and stuff and like I wasn't in my head about the judgement i thought others had i could run.

I think moderation is good but i think it should be about how high you allow yourself to get. I don like getting Stoned like bad I like a boost to my day so when i feel my tolerance go past a 1.8 blunt to my own face I tone it down after I just chill i roll less and less for the rest of the week and then wait 5 days and I feel great like a tea cleanse.

  38. Wyzax76 says:

Joe, the vivid dreams come because your body is kicking out the toxins.

  39. Spanoza says:

Stoped smoking 6 months ago. Smoked for like 6 years intensely. The dream stuff is normal, its like catching up. But yeah, I can recognise the differences in personality since I stoped. Specially in the first 3 months, very impulsive and grumpy, but nothing really out of the ordinary

  40. Brandon Harris says:

Speaking from personal observation there is most defiantly withdraws that go along with long term use. Lack of sleep, appetite, anger , vivid dreams, tense muscles , panic attacks , depression. I've seen people go through all of them at one time or another. Weed is DEFIANTLY addictive. I'm not saying it's crippling , but there is defiantly evidence to support my position.

  41. Isaac Manzo says:

You forget your dreams when you smoke because you fall into deep sleep faster. When you're off weed REM sleep increases. What you need is deep sleep not crazy dreams of running around naked.

  42. CAMIOLOGY says:

    I experience the same thing

  43. The_Kind Panzer says:

You dream the same amount, it just all happens during the day with weed.

  44. musicisbrilliant says:

ANY addiction is not a good thing. Gotta control IT or itll end up controlling you to some degree.

  45. Björn van Weiden says:

THC represses REM sleep. So when you stop smoking the REM hits Hard.

  46. Joseph Prouse says:

I heard it inhibits the phase of sleep that forms dreams and long term memories.

  47. Philippe Collet says:

Terrence McKenna said it's best done once a week, in silent darkness, as much stuff as you can.
Can confirm the vivid dream thing. It's quite mindblowing.

  48. An Enemy says:

I'VE SMOKED POT EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE I WAS 14…. FUCKING LIGHTWEIGHTS 1/4 LB A WEEK BABY!!
