Its big pharma that stops progress of growing your own medacine because the government doesnt want to loose the tax money theybwill make and big pharma is the one that helps put people in government so nalot of people have to go elsewhere or break the law if you can understand the lae that is it is soooo confusing especially when you know that something so easily made and done can be help hundreds of thousands of people and kids in australia everyday but the government just drags its arse but when there is a war or some sort of social outcry of terror eatch how fast they move then its not in the governments best interest to cure people hencebits taking so long to get legalized marijuana medicinal and recreational because ohh noo its abgateway drug pffft
First drug i everbhad was booze and ciggerttes also u cant overdose on weed as what happens you sleep well the government has to mske it legal like alcohol for hemp and prescription for cannabiss with higher thc contents sim0le its not hard also addiction is alnost non existent with MMJ so im unsure of the reason for this interveiw every sate answers to the federal law federal law gas decreed it legal for medical use so that means its legal if the state polys dont get there shit together theybwill be vited out

It would seem that new laws in Australia are not very progressive regarding the treatment of medical ailments. It would seem from the lawyers careful wording inpaticular the reference to "materials" being imported (marijuana), it could be viewed these laws primarily suit the Pharma industry in testing (R&D) medical marijuana legally. And to garner strict feedback from the proletariat through medical practices. The good colonists at work again.

At this time in Australia, if you are fortunate to find a Dr that has knowledge of the Endocannabinoid system in order to prescribe any Cannabis therapy it will then take a further 7 months to approved.

Currently in Queensland Australia it is "on paper" easier to get access to MMJ than in New South Wales, but in reality it's impossible to find a MD who is willing to consult with in regards to receiving a MMJ script let alone "actually" getting one. From my discussions with my MD & others the government (both state and federally) have made it too hard for anyone to be able to access MMJ with the hurdles that a MD has to comply with in order to be "allowed" to prescribe. Therefore they, the politicians, can publicly say that they have made dramatic improvements in allowing affected people access to MMJ whilst still denying people by saying that it's now up to MDs to be suitably trained/qualified to prescribe??? My question is HOW can they be qualified without assistance from the government? If courses aren't on offer it won't change and this suits the government allowing them to "pass the buck" to MDs saying it's now up to them! Australian politicians cleverly drag their feet while terminally ill patients and others in constant pain suffer whilst the politicians still have their snouts in the pharmaceutical troughs!

Firstly it should be called Cannabis. Marijuana was always a pejorative term to demonise it during prohibition.

Medical Marijuana sounds ok but the scientific name is Cannabis.

Secondly People should grow their own.

This is how the legal changes came about for home growers in Canada. Through the power of the people.

If everyone grew it it would deligitimise the government and force them to make the changes.

Studies in America have shown it to be a beneficial cure all. They are going slow in Australia to benefit pharmaceutical companies.

Trying to legislate for a doctors script is only about legitimizing the medical practitioners and controlling outcomes to enable future tax.

Pharma comes from Greek meaning sorcery. Cannabis is as it is. Natural medicine.

Western medicine is postscript. Trying to tie this in with western medicine is contradictory.

Cannabis is prescriptive that helps alleviate so many issues. It mimics Anandamide which causes cancer cells to apoptosis and self implode.

Cannabis should be taken by everyone every three to four days to alleviate disease
stress etc . It is like having a cup of supercharged beneficial herbal tea.

If you want to grow your own cannabis you can source seeds online from overseas.

Look for strains high in CBD for health benefits. High in THC for relaxation.

They will be sent by stealth.

If you grow your own keep plants to a minimum as the laws are governed by how many plants not how much production of the plant. As such you can grow a single large plant and not get in trouble. In Canberra and SA you can grow one plant and face a $100' fine if caught. It's not a big deal. It won't be much different in other states.

The government is only interested in those making money and avoiding tax and will target large commercial growers.

Of course they are also interested in protecting big Pharma and tax dollars.

Medical marijuana is as old as the plant itself. It's natures gift. We have had the wool pulled over our eyes for almost 100 years.

Erin, haven't the federal government allowed big Pharma to get a foothold here thus preventing people currently aiding those in need from doing so?
