  12. SliverChato says:

I'm so glad to live in a time period where culture is finally being recognized as something very special. Plus the beauty and sentiment captured on camera, especially in the sole origins Tokyo. Y'all really killed the delivery of what it means to buy something from there and because of it my friends understand my connection. Thank you Complex for creating an amazing series and telling powerful stories and for passing on culture!

  13. Sikher Head says:

Take a shower daily, you will look fresh, no need for sneakers!

  14. Uriel M says:

Supreme is smart they seen what was going on in Cali and took it to a new place, true evolution.

  15. Ricardo De La Peña says:

Wait, with all due respect, because I do love sneakers, but let’s not kid ourselves; we’re not talking about design differences here, we talking about colorways. A design difference would be like the difference between the Jordan 1 & 2 (which I don’t think get enough credit for forward vision, if not execution) Most of these collabs and new releases are just colorway changes. It’s the same shoe just in a different color or with some different finishes but no design changes. I guess I’ll never be a true sneaker head cause I just don’t get that part.

Hold up. Did that girl just say she was the only girl dressing like a boy in NYC? Back in the day girls was wearing the same things dudes was wearing. They wore baggy jeans, jerseys, Timbs and fitted hats with the North Face or Carhartt jackets on. The only difference on what girls wore to a guy in the hood was underwear.

  28. Tay Honorable says:

I have a big problem hearing these herbs (to borrow some NY speak) say they do it all for the culture and such. Y’all don’t give a fuck about the kids who don’t have shit, and you really don’t give a fuck about the average consumer. Y’all care about generating clicks on the internet and clout.

Which one of them is in the hood giving kids with holes in their shoes new kicks? Which one of them is fighting or talking to these brands about making enough sneakers so more kids can get ‘em? I know kids that sign up for ten or twenty raffles a week and can’t get shit* because of all the bots and the influencers stealing all the spots.

If you really cared you’d expand the shit and make it more accessible, involve more voices that go largely unheard.

*I pay resale most of the time, I don’t even need the stress of downloading forty shitty apps and sending these big brands my info to steal and sell
