Maybe try re-hydrating the bud and see if (and how) it actually 'helps' in any way or not-? (IME less harshness and some 'slight-help' with flavor)

i don't understand what you mean by 6 month old weed i don't think. if it is sealed and had been dried and cured properly up till that point the bud should taste better not worse. you must mean it was sitting out or in a baggy in a drawer not a jar for 6 months
I love old dry weed.
Prefer my weed to be cured for a month in mason jars before i start smoking it. If weed is dried and stored properly it will age like a fine wine, trick is to not let it dry out too much.
Good video and to be expected of course. This is an issue at times in dispensaries, I've seen 3-6 month old bud. I suppose its stored well and it is usually discounted and is a good deal. I'm smoking some fresh nightmare og and it's yummy, stay lifted my brother.

I have a jar of Black Afghan in my basement that I bought last November. It's as strong now as it was when harvested. As long as weed is stored properly, it will last a long time.

depends on the storage/curing process and of course the genetics.
