There is that Thor Loki dynamic where Odin says only one of you will be king but both are destined for greatness from the first Thor film. When Loki finds out about his true parentage you see how angry he got the truth was hidden from him. Also the fact that even though Odin loved him as if he was his own son he couldn't accept a Frost Giant as a King. This scene kind of felt like that where Michael Burnham felt betrayed by her Surrogate father.

Brace yourselves. The Trekker trolls are coming….

  3. GrelchFurball says:

Guys, I'm not Trolling. But, as a Trek Fan myself, it would be Sooooooo much better and easier to enjoy, if the show was on Regular Broadcast T.V…. Just Say'n…

  4. Libertas1 says:

Roughly 100 bucks a year to help my franchise stay relevant… and producing more shows and movies… are you a fan?

I feel like the same efforts could be done with LOTR, a series. So many different middle Earthers to divulge into, annnd some royaltie$ too. And the attitude on those elves!!!

  6. Josaphat Lee says:

A pronounced lack of solid writing, direction, and acting. Vulcans, and Klingons, are not of any known Trek canon. Boffo sfx, though.

  7. Martian Dawn says:

What kind of neuroses make someone think this crap is even remotely realistic, let alone interesting? This is just more evidence that Hollywood has isolated itself from the normal human existence experienced by everyone living outside the bubble of regressive leftist thinking.

    Love Sonequa, Fuck all access.

  9. superhumansight says:

Man, I wish the classic Star Trek was 100% about Kirk and his relationship with his parents, and how he grew up, and how his failures felt… No wait, nevermind…

I get what this scene represented and all. I love DSC but the fight scene was kind of corny. Still a good plug to put in Vulcan M.A. and some look at what might have caused the tension b/t Spock and his dad. Not hating all that much though. TNG, DS9 and all the best had some campy/corny stuff too. It was just funny how Sarek smacked Michael out like that. That scene is meme worthy I'm sure. "Sareeeeeek!"

  12. Craig Simpkins says:

    the best star trek ever

  13. Anthony Dukes says:

Look at the comments on the Orrville. Way better show. Stays true to real Trek. As for STD, all hands to the escape pods!

being a Star Trek nerd and Super Fan it is not my opinion but a fact that Star Trek Discovery is nothing more than a rip-off of our beloved Star Trek universe.
    …..
Star Trek Discovery is doomed to fail… the only way to save Star Trek discovery is two reveal that it an alternate universe or the mirror Star Trek universe….. this I can accept because Mirror Universe Star Trek history is greatly unknown and also part of Star Trek lore.

    Harry Mudd returns tonight

  16. Michael Kurland says:

Why didn't Sarek reach out to Spock instead of Burnham?

  17. DronesoundTV says:

    Um, isn't Michael is a boy's name?
